The Carl ADU

The Vision:

Designed with University of San Diego students in mind, the ADU at The Carl was created to provide comfortable, modern housing in a convenient location near campus. The goal was to deliver a fully furnished, thoughtfully designed living space that supports student life while offering the amenities and conveniences of a modern home.

The Transformation:

• Designed and built a 1,200 sq ft ADU optimized for student living
• Installed a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and modern finishes
• Added in-unit washer and dryer for convenience
• Integrated smart home features including fiber optic Wi-Fi and smart lock entry
• Furnished the space with desks, seating, and large smart TVs
• Created shared amenities including rooftop lounge space with outdoor kitchen and bay views

The Outcome:

The result is a modern student living environment that combines convenience, functionality, and thoughtful design. With fully furnished interiors, smart home features, and shared rooftop amenities overlooking Mission Bay, the Carl ADU provides a comfortable and stress-free housing experience for students near the University of San Diego.
